Are you losing hair at an aggressive rate? Tired of living with baldness and thin hair? Many men and women will experience some form of hair loss as they age. Coley Cosmetic & Hand Surgery Center, P.A. offers hair restoration treatment to men and women of Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Roanoke and other surrounding North Carolina communities.
What is a Hair Transplant?
A hair transplant or hair transplantation is a type of surgery that moves hair you already have to fill in an area with thin or no hair. At Coley Cosmetic & Hand Surgery Center we use a treatment called NeoGraft®, which involves taking healthy donor hair follicles (FUE) to restore density, fill bald spots, and/or lower a thinning hairline on the scalp. NeoGraft® is unique in that it does not involve a large linear scar; individual follicles are isolated and transplanted.

Am I a Good Hair Transplant Candidate?
To be considered a good candidate for hair transplantation via NeoGraft®, you need to have an adequate amount of healthy donor hair so that it can be transplanted to other areas of the scalp. During your hair transplant consultation Dr. Coley will determine if you have enough healthy hair to qualify, and if you are a good candidate based on your medical and family history as well as your goals and expectations.
Can Women have a Hair Transplant?
Yes, female baldness is becoming more mainstream and more women are considering their options when dealing with hair loss. Women and men can improve balding hair loss with NeoGraft®.
Can a Bad Hair Transplant Be Corrected?
Early hair transplantation techniques used “plugs” of hair to fill in thin or bald areas. These plugs create an unnatural hair pattern that is obvious and easy to spot. New transplants can be blended into these plugs to create a more natural and full head of hair. Dr. Coley will evaluate your specific case and determine if it is possible to correct a previously performed hair transplant with the NeoGraft® technique. NeoGraft® may also be performed if someone has had a previous strip.
What is the Recovery Time for a Hair Transplant?
Patients can return home the same day as their NeoGraft® treatment. You will need one to two days of rest following the procedure and it is recommended to avoid exercise for at least 10 days. In the first two weeks following the treatment you may have scabs on the treatment area.
After about three months, new hair begins to grow in the treatment area replacing the transplanted hair and increasing the fullness of the transplant area. At six to nine months, you can expect to see the full results of your hair transplantation surgery.
How Much Does a Hair Transplant Cost?
The price for NeoGraft® in Greensboro is individualized for each patient and varies based on treatment size. We will discuss pricing details during your hair transplant consultation. Our office offers several financing options to help you afford hair transplant services.
